The MCF has completed work on the "Maryland Crossbow Federation Archery Range". The MCF teamed up
with Al Perelli of BIGshot Targets LLC and Ballistic Targets to design and construct the course. The course
is exciting and challenging, with no two targets on the same elevation or at the same distance. The course
consists of sixteen X-Box Ballistic Targets and each target incorporates a big game animal silhouette to give
an added dimension. The closest target is 58' and the longest is 157'. The range will be used for MCF
crossbow tournament shoots, public open crossbow shoots, fund raising events and MCF Picnics. The
range includes a six target practice area that can be used before shooting the course. Most archery ranges
today DO NOT allow crossbows, so the MCF is making one available to its members only and for crossbows
only. The range will be open for use next spring. We are accepting all ideas and concepts on use of the
range.
We have added a online "Flip Book" so that our members can view and go through all the Stations and
Targets! Click on the "Boar Target" image below to go to the flip book, then use the arrows at the bottom of
the screen to flip back and forth through the pages.
